Galito Restaurant, a hidden gem located at 214 Columbus Ave, Pawtucket, RI, is making waves among food lovers with its authentic Portuguese cuisine. Customers rave about the delightful flavors, warm service, and inviting atmosphere. Jorge Pau-preto commends the owner’s personal involvement, reinforcing the restaurant's friendly vibe that makes diners feel at home.
Signature dishes like the Portuguese nachos and pork alentejana received high praise, while the pasta mariso boasts a "really good sauce" that keeps guests coming back for more. Other notable mentions include the Bifana Sandwich and the Alcatra, served in a charming clay pot, adding a medieval twist to the dining experience.
While some patrons noted occasional service delays, the generous portions and reasonably priced menu—featuring the "cheapest espresso in the state"—compensate for it. Guests appreciated the cozy ambiance, making it perfect for any meal—from casual lunches to special dinners. With an array of enticing options, including refreshing Sumol and buzz-worthy espresso martinis, your visit to Galito Restaurant promises to be memorable.

On my way back from Foxboro a Google search lead me here. I'm from Fall River where Portuguese is everywhere. Now living in Warwick it's a hard thing to find. The Portuguese nachos were good, the pork alentejana my fiancee got was good, and the pasta mariso that I got was good. Really good sauce. The bread was soft and fresh. Our server confused the cacoila pizza to a cacoila sandwich. I will definitely be back with my fiancee.

Stumbled into this great local Portuguese restaurant. The service and food were outstanding. I enjoyed a drink at the bar and then an amazing dinner. I highly recommend this for lunch or dinner.

Returned to the area for a family event at Galito Restaurant. It was a great choice of venue. Would definitely return if it wasn't so far away. Would sure like to try more of their menu. Everything we had was so good.

I had a nice time here. They give you free bread when you sit which is nice and warm and fluffy. We got the Sopa a Portuguesa which was good. The Galito Trio appetizer which was just okay; 3 of everything, 3 wings, 3 pasteis de bacalhau and 3 pieces of fried chourico. The Bifana Sandwich which was nice. Plain but still good. Fries were really good. I asked for sauce on the side which they gave me a ton of and it was excellent. Alcatra was great. Very fun. It comes in like the handmade clay pot. He joked it looks like what a medieval man would eat. Lol. It was really good, maybe a tiny bit too salty but great when mixed with the plain potatoes and rice on the side. They still have the cafe open at night and it’s so reasonably priced. Cheapest espresso in the state. Lol. We shared a Galao (latte) for dessert. Service was a little slow and I would probably get something else the next time I come but it was still all good. The highlight being the molho and the Sumol in the glass container. I heard they have excellent espresso martinis from someone else but I did not get one myself.

LOVED the food here. My boyfriend loves his Portuguese steak and I always love a good seafood paella! They also accommodated my milk allergy and were so kind! Great experience!
